Meet V the SLP
Our founder, Venita (aka Ms. V) is a certified speech-language pathologist (SLP) who has been helping caregivers and other professionals become confident communication partners for over 10 years. She recently began her Doctor of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-D) program, continuing her commitment to lifelong learning and clinical excellence. She has a passion for using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and literacy to support individuals with complex communication needs. Venita has presented at local and national conferences and co-authored the Lou Knows What to Do book series published by Boys Town Press. In 2023, she successfully completed the requirements to become an NLA trained clinician in order to effectively support gestalt language processors. She is on a mission to help caregivers prevent frustration and bring joy to everyday interactions with their children through individual therapy, consultations, and group classes. When she’s not being an SLP, she enjoys playing tennis, having tea parties with her toddler, and trying new restaurants with her family.
